Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

MetricHost is operated by Atlas Studio, Illinois, United States ("we", "us", or "our"). If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@metrichost.net.

2. Data we collect at sign-up

When you create an account we collect:

• Your email address
• A hashed version of your password (we never store your raw password)
• OAuth identifiers (e.g. GitHub user ID) if you choose OAuth sign-in

3. Data we collect during use

While you use the platform we collect:

• Server configurations — game type, resources, and settings you define
• Console output — streamed transiently for your session; not stored permanently
• Client IP addresses — retained for security and abuse-prevention logs

4. Data we collect at billing

When you subscribe to a paid plan, Stripe processes your payment. We store only your Stripe Customer ID — we never see or store your card number, CVC, or full bank details.

Stripe Inc. acts as a data processor on our behalf. Their privacy practices are described at stripe.com/privacy.

5. Cookies

We use two categories of cookies:

• Essential cookies — session tokens and CSRF protection tokens. These are strictly necessary for the service to function and do not require your consent.
• Analytics and advertising cookies — Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies that measure marketing performance. These are only set after you give explicit consent via our cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time in your account settings.

6. Where your data is hosted

All server infrastructure runs on Hetzner Online GmbH data centres in Frankfurt, Germany (European Union / EEA). Data stored in the EU is protected by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

7. Data retention

• Account data is kept for as long as your account is active.
• After account deletion, data is retained for up to 90 days for billing-audit purposes (legal requirement), then permanently deleted.

8. Your rights (GDPR Art. 15–22)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to:

• Access — obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — correct inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your data
• Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Restriction — limit how we process your data
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Withdraw consent — at any time, for consent-based processing (e.g. analytics cookies)

To exercise any of these rights, email support@metrichost.net. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

• Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to provide the services you have subscribed to
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — to comply with financial and tax record-keeping requirements
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — security logging and fraud prevention
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — analytics and advertising cookies
